Raw Cotton/ Trading Cotton

  • Due to our customers’ continuous and growing need of cotton supply, we trade raw cotton as well, from various cotton growing states across India especially Shankar 6 and other varieties like V-797, DCH -32, J-34, Bunny Brahma, MCU 5, MCU 7, MCU 12, MCU 13, Supriya, Anjali, Surabhi, Sumangala, Sruthi, Suvin, K11 procured from farmers across India.
  • India has the advantage of growing all species of cotton. Details as below
    1. Short staple 20mm & below
    2. Medium staple (20.5 to 24.5mm)
    3. Medium long (25.0 to 27.0mm)
    4. Long (27.5 to 32.0mm) and
    5. Extra long staple cottons (32.5mm and above).
  • India produce large number of varieties and hybrids, number of varieties in cultivation exceeds 75%. However, 98% of the production is contributed by about 25 varieties.

In India, the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh are the leading cotton producing states. These states have a predominantly tropical wet and dry climate. Also we procure from various places in Tamilnadu in Coimbatore, Erode, Madurai, Dindigul, Theni, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar, Sivagangai,Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Trichirapalli, Perambalur, Karur.

Raw cotton arrives initially in densely packed bales, and these bales are subjected to a series of steps over time, ultimately undergoing a dramatic change. While raw cotton contains fiber, due to how cotton is harvested, it also carries small plant parts and field trash (non-lint or foreign matter) that must be removed thoroughly.
