- The overall process of treatment in the ginning house has a major role for the quality of produced fibre. Ginning with inadequate machinery causes the interlace of fibres and the creation of knots, while the treatment of cotton with high rate of humidity degrades the quality of fibre and also colorizes it. For these reasons, the process of ginning includes desiccation and storage of cotton through the various stages of treatment.
- Ginning is the process of separation of components, thread and cottonseed, that are contained in the flower of cotton. Cotton thread is used for producing spinner and finally cloth, while cotton seed is used, after suitable treatment, for producing cotton oil and cotton seed cake.
